H2ercules Network West

Schematic representation of the pathway
H2ercules Network West connects the Belgian network to the German hydrogen core network. It links major consumption centers in the Rhineland, as well as other regions of Germany via adjacent H2ercules sections. Through the Belgian network, various hydrogen sources — such as terminals in the Antwerp and Zeebrugge areas — can be connected to the German hydrogen core network.
The H2ercules Belgium (222B) section forms the hydrogen pipeline system from the Eynatten border crossing on the German-Belgian border to the demand centers in the Rhineland near Weisweiler. This approximately 27-kilometer-long, newbuilt pipeline is scheduled to go into operation by 2028.
